What you bring
Food, drink, ice, a head torch, a warm layer for the evening and sunblock. The nearest shops are in Ladismith, about half an hour away, so stock up before you turn onto the farm road.

Arriving at the early end of check-in is worth doing. It gives you daylight for the gravel, time to unpack and an hour or two for the hot tub to heat before you eat.
Why two nights
One night here does not work. You arrive in the afternoon, light the tub, cook, soak once, sleep and leave before ten. The second day is the one where you walk to the river, sit still long enough to see something, and use the sky properly. The minimum exists because guests who book one night say the same thing on the way out.
